Rule 53 Waiver Approved by the District E Committee Worcester Public School students in grade 8 are now allowed to participate in freshman and JV sports and in varsity sports where a sub varsity program doesn’t exist. | Reminder to all athletes planning on trying out for a fall sport: All students must pass a physical examination within thirteen months of the start of the season. Students who meet this criterion at the start of the season will remain eligible for that season. Physical examinations must be performed by a duly registered Physician, Physician’s Assistant or Nurse Practitioner. The form can be downloaded from this site. (6/29/10)
